Duty to Love by Morgan King
To me books and love go together hand in hand; you can never have too much of either. When combined even better.
I remember various stages of my life based around the different discoveries I’ve made of books that include sex.
The first has to be The Body Book, by Claire Rayner. My mother introduced me to this when I was four and I now have a copy for my son to look at. I believe we should feel comfortable talking to kids about sex and it never hurts to have a book to help.
Then when I was ten my sister left her copy of Forever, by Judy Bloom, lying around and I sneaked of to read it at least four times. It’s the first time I remember thinking maybe sex isn’t yucky.

I just finished reading Owned by the Dom: Part 1 by Sam Crescent. It was really good! I am a big fan of Sam’s!! I also read Taking the Reins by Kat Murray and I enjoyed it. Given by Ashlynn Monroe was good. Didn’t get as much reading as I usually do, because I made oreo balls and waffle cookies for my son for this DECA conference.
I have been busy reading again, what else is new. Beachwalk Press had 50% so I bought some books A Heart’s Endeavor, Make Me Stay, Crossfire of Love, Be My Everything, Something More and Given (I still have to read Given). I also had a chance to read Devil in the Making, His Christmas Present and The Brookfield Series Volume One. I did take time out to watch my favorite TV shows Smash and Necessary Roughness. Now we have a big snow storm coming so I may have time to read all day tomorrow if I’m not shoveling snow or at work. Have a great weekend!
I saw this book was released yesterday and had to get it! I am hoping to start reading it tonight!!

This last week I read the first three of Olivia Cunning’s Sinners series books. They were awesome! I won Vixen Claimed, Passion Pill and A Wild Night’s Bride they were all really good. Totally different books, but I enjoyed them. I also read Mating Instinct, Pinocchio Syndrome, For the Love of Mutt and Forgiving Patience. I have found another new author Jennifer Simpkins is awesome. I love it when hubby is gone and I have plenty of time to read.
Jenna Jaxon Romance--because passion is timeless.
(If you’re looking for my Historical Hop post, it’s here. Totally different snippet from a totally different historical work, the third book in the Scandal series.)
I’m back with Weekend Writing Warriors again. I saw many old SSS friends and lots of new ones last week, so I’m sticking with this group! 🙂
Today you get the next sentences from Betrothal, my medieval romance set in the 14th century. These sentences come immediately following my Sweet Saturday Sample from yesterday. If you’d like to catch up, you can read that here. In this snippet Thomas explains why Geoffrey’s decision to let Alyse choose their parts smacks of disaster.
“I wanted to please her, Thomas,” Geoffrey said, shifting uneasily. “Her demeanor toward me has warmed a bit these past two days, and I aimed to fuel that flame with the ride in the procession and the choice of…
